Easter Weekend

What a joy to be able to go home for Easter. It was such a treasured time. My whole family was home. I can't even begin to tell you all how much that meant to me. I just love my family and wouldn't trade them for anyone in the world! God has truly blessed me above and beyond what I could ever ask or think!

It's kinda blurry but such a treasure! Charity has a better pic. of this on her blog!

Peek-a-boo with Grandpa!

I love this picture. There is nothing like the love a mother and a baby!

Reeses and Kevin

Grandpa and Kevin! You'll never meet a prouder Grandpa!

Aww sooo sweet!

Can you believe that I am married? I can't, but wouldn't trade it for anything or anyone in the world!

Marshmellows in Hot Chocolate

We had a very interesting weekend. Friday and Saturday we were in Des Moines Iowa for an all night youth activity. It was all inner-city kids and a little intimidating. Now you all must know that I am not at all prejudiced or racist, however we did feel like marshmellows in a cup of hot chocolate (as one of our team members said) because we were the only white people there. It was a very eye opening experience. There was 200 kids there and talk about roudy. It made me so thankful for my family and how the Lord blessed me with the Gospel at such a young age. It made me appreciate the education that I have and the training I have to read the Bible exegetically sound. It made me sooo very thankful for all that God has given me and I raise my eyes to the heavens praising God for his goodness to me and awed that he chose me! Dan did a great job challenging them. On Saturday we were only at the one church and so there was only about 20 kids and Dan did an excellent job! (I've sure married an amazing preacher. I'm excited to see where God is going to take my wonderful husband!)

A Special Dessert

Dan made me a special desert called Dirt Pudding! There was gummy worms in it and everything. It was very creative and I loved it. (I gave him my gummy worms though).

We had Johnathan over to help us finish it off.

Nebraska Trip

Dan's spring break and my spring break were two different weeks, however it still worked out for me to go with him on the E3 team's spring tour. We toured through Nebraska and had an incredible time. Our team wasn't complete because Sarah couldn't come which was disappointing because that made me the only girl. However, it was still fun. I wanted to post earlier but my camera was being stupid, as usual!

From left to right, Steve, Jason, Daniel, Me! This was a really cool tank outside of Lincoln. We don't know what it was for it just was really cool so we took a picture. Real original Huh? :-)

Heath and Louis Rippentrop live in Fremont, Nebraska. Heath was one of Dan's groomsmen so it was fun to see them. We went to their house and played on a Wii for the first time. I wasn't to impressed with the Wii, but it was fun to play with them! They took us to a really nice steak house and Dan ended up finishing my steak because it was so huge! I guess I'm just a wimp when it comes to lots of food! It was really good though.

This is the true equation for trouble and complete randominity!

On Tuesday of break we didn't have any meetings scheduled so we went to the famous Omaha Zoo! It was pretty cool. My favorite exhibit was the swamp exhibit! I didn't get a picture of that because it was dark in there, but you felt like you were in Florida, Alligators and all! I love this picture of Daniel.

This is me by the water exhibit. If you look close to the top of the picture there is a penguin. You'll have to use a good amount of your imagination since the penguin swam faster than my flash!

This was the base of a tree in the Amazon forest exhibit! It was massive.

Daniel, Steve, and Steve's family, playing with the Gorilla statues. They were just being themselves!

Dan and the tortoise having a face off!

Daniel and I went to the IMax theater with Jason and watched a movie about the whales and dolphins. There was so much save the whales propaganda but it was neat because of the 3D feature.

This is a cool story. Wednesday night we didn't have a service because we'd done 2 Christian school chapels that day so we went to a random church called Karen St. Baptist Church. After the service the lady that you see in the above picture asked if she could pray with me. I sat down with her and she asked me my name! I accidently said Christa Schofield (not used to my new name yet:-) and she looked shocked. She said, "As in John and Loretta Schofield?" And of course I said yes. It turns out that I have heard about this couple my whole life and yet had never met them. My Grandpa Smith led Mr. Semoraska to the Lord when He was going to be a Catholic Priest. Ever since then they have been close friends with my Grandparents and my parents have kept in close contact with them as well. It was soo neat to be able to meet them and even pray with Mrs. Semoraska. It was so funny. After she found out who I was she said, "When you first walked in the door, I thought you looked an awful lot like Loretta!" (I haven't heard that one before :-) It was so neat because we weren't scheduled to be there according to our plans, but the Lord had it planned. What a neat thing to see the work of the Lord through my Grandparents! Praise God for His great salvation and for the joy of fellowhsip within the body of Christ!

God is in Control

I saw this online and I couldn't help but think that it is so applicable to every avenue of our lives. God is in control no matter what happens.
Don't Worry

Home sweet Home!

This last weekend Daniel and I went home to Granada. It was so fun to be able to go to church and see everyone there. Each person there has played a huge part in my life, and I would not be who I am today if it weren't for them. There was a baby shower for Aunt Darlene, and Michelle Flohrs. It was really fun.

Charise and Aunt Darlene. Aren't they cute?

This is Emma Grace and once again I can't figure out how to turn the picture around.
She's beautiful and fun.

Charise and I. She is so fun. We've gotten so close. Thanks for putting up with me

Mama and I had the opportunity to talk for a good hour or so.

It was so fun. I can't remember the last time we got to talk for that long.

Wedding Time

Wedding Pictures are so much fun especially when they are from your own wedding wouldn't you agree? I've wanted to post wedding pic's for a while now so I thought I'd try again today!

I cannot believe how blessed I am to have Daniel as my
husband. Isn't it amazing to see how God does the
impossible. I was never going to marry him, and now I couldn't
imagine living without him.

These are some of the closest brothers that I've ever known.
They love each other fiercely. I love that I can now
count them as my own. I've gotten to love and appreciate each of them.
This is a crazy lot for sure. Each of them reminding me of the
glorious gift of friendship.

Family is one of the most treasured possessions that I have.
I love each of my syblings, and dearly miss seeing them as often as
we used to be together. Each one has a special place in my heart
with special memories that only they can give. I love you all.

I am so thankful that both Daniel and I have such Godly parents.
I look up to them and see the fruits of faithfulness and desire that
our lives might obtain the same kinds of fruit. Thank you to our parents
for all that you did to make not only our wedding possible, but every
avenue of our lives.

When it came to picking my bridesmaids I already knew who
they should be. The dearest most precious girls in my life . . . and
well, here you have it the 4 most precious girlfriends that I have.

Sophie was sooo cute. When she got down to the front of the aisle,
she had run out of petals and turned around and looked back
showing us that she was all out of petals. It was soooo cute. Then
she fell asleep during the ceremony and I guess I kept dragging my train over her head.
I'm amazed that she slept through that. I love this picture.
It makes me smile.

Voices of Praise! This group of girls are so treasured.
We started singing together when we first moved to Granada our
friendship has continued to grow even beyond college, marriage, and
all the other changes that have been brought into our lives.
I love you girls. Thanks for being a part of our special day.
We sang White Christmas with Mrs. Clay at the Reception. It was
so much fun!
This is the little boy that Dan and I take care of. His mom Judy and stepdad
Paul are a blast and we couldn't have asked for a better boss or job. The neat thing
about the whole situation is that they are also our friends. That is so fun.
Thanks for coming to our wedding Josh!

Grandpa and Grandma Schofield holding baby Kevin. It was so fun to have them there for our speical day. Josiah was so cute with Kevin.

He makes a great Uncle. Wow, isn't that weird to think of Josiah as an uncle?

And this is my adorable husband. He loves corndogs

mainly for their aesthetic value :-) Don't worry
He really doesn't smoke:-)
